Are You Ready to Take on the Dragon?
The Neuse River Day Dragon Boat Festival is on the way!

On Saturday, June 2, we welcome Pan American Dragon Boat Association, Dragon Boat clubs, community teams , and the public to join us for a day of Dragon Boat Racing and fun along the banks of the Neuse.

Each of these 45-foot dragon motif boats holds 20 paddlers, seated side by side, a drummer at the bow beating the cadence, and a helmsman at stern.  The competition is open to High School Teams, College Teams, Church Groups, Sports Teams, Civic Organizations, Neighborhoods, Businesses, and more...and friendly competition is encouraged.  It's a sport that's fun for everyone from couch-potatoes to experienced whitewater paddlers and there is still time for your team to register!

Even if you're not planning to paddle, we hope you will plan to join us for the day at Union Point Park in New Bern, NC.  You'll stay entertained; we guarantee it!

Learn more about how to form and register a team, sign up as a vendor, or attend as a spectator on our Neuse River Day page.

Please help us ensure a safe, beautiful river for swimming, drinking, and play by becoming a member or donating today.
